WHAT DO YOU D0 IF?

Just had a very unique experience. We wanted to change from Verizon to Cablevision, which involves having your phone and computer hooked up of course.Well, the person who took the order from Cablevision screwed up our dates for installation which was for a friday the 6th. She puts in an order to Verizon to cancel our phone number on the 4th. Brilliant! It took 24 hrs. and a lot of begging to get someone from Cablevision to correct the problem. In the meantime no one from cable notified us our phone would be shut off. So Cable and Verizon play games without notifying the customer. So what do you do if that happens and no one will take responsibility, is it even legal to have your service shut off without your knowlege? The only thing that made up for all the frustration was a wonderful technician from Cablevision named Matt who rectified everything in a few very pleasant short hours and did it with a smile. Bless his heart. There are few these days that take pride in what they do. So applause, applause for a great guy named Matt from Cablevision.
So a word to the wise when your switching your over to another TV service, make sure you are 1. keeping your old number because they don't tell you they may have to change that number during the switch. However, fight hard enough and you get to keep it 2. When you are making a switch have all your requests written down so there are no mistakes. Hope this helps someone else.
MEM.
